Store your hat or headpiece in its box cradled in white acid free tissue paper when not in use

Direct sunlight or heat may fade or warp your hat or headpiece so a dark cool environment is best for storage

Rain or humidity can damage straw or fabric, causing colour changes, mould or mildew which will ruin your hat

Trims such as feathers, quills and silk flowers may damage easily so require gentle handling

Always handle your hat using two hands to gently support the brim on either side to prevent it becoming misshapen

Avoid hairspray, perfumes and other aerosols from coming into contact with your hat as colour changes may occur over time

Do not drop or squash your hat as it may not be able to be repaired
