Things to consider…
The general rule is that ladies wear hats to the right because we’re always right! However, rules are meant to be broken. So, wear your hat to the left if that’s what you prefer and in the middle if that’s how the hat was designed.
For a more flattering look, wear your hat at an over-exaggerated angle and approximately one finger width above your eyebrow. Attitude and angles are everything!
Don’t let your hat drown you. Small to medium pieces suit most people and as a general rule the brim should never be wider than your shoulders — otherwise the hat ends up wearing you!
Comfort is key. Even the most gorgeous piece isn’t the one for you if you spend the day constantly adjusting it or straining under its weight.
The right hat should instantly make you feel special, so keep searching until you find that piece. After all, you don’t get to wear a beautiful hat every day, so make it count and wear it with confidence.
Don’t shy away from colour. Colour blocking works brilliantly and highlighting one or two tones in your outfit can be striking.
A well chosen hat is an investment and if looked after carefully will last for years.
